I’ve been practicing mindful coloring lately. I focus on my breath and the sensation of the pencil on paper. Anyone else have mindfulness tips?
Great technique, MindfulColorist! I like to set an intention before I start coloring, like “peace” or “gratitude,” and reflect on it as I color.
I find that coloring mandalas really helps me stay present. The repetitive patterns are almost hypnotic. It’s my go-to for mindful coloring.
I’ve started doing a body scan before I color, to release tension. Then I try to maintain that relaxed state throughout my coloring session.
